As a way to celebrate the 10 amazing installations built by Hungarian universities in the Tokaj wine region during Építész Mustra we organize a photo exhibition and awards ceremony each year. This time we invited all of our friends from the Hungarian summer school (students and professors) to eat, drink and be merry about the work we did together over the span of 10 days back in summer.
As in previous years, the grand prize was worth 1.000.000 HUF, which went to the best team of the year. The jury consisted of our organizational team (Hello Wood) and the participating universities, each of us having 1 vote (11 in total).
Építész Mustra 2019’s winner project was a bowling alley hidden in the forest, built by Szent István Egyetem - Ybl’s students. Their aim was to highlight a long-forgotten place of Tolcsva where used to be vibrant community life once. The story around the installation made the project outstanding at this year’s competition.
The event also served as an occasion to celebrate our educational programs as we were getting closer to end the year and preparing for next year’s Építész Mustra.
