Kráter | Hello Wood x Katttarzis
Along with our friends, Katttarzis, we combined our magic: we brought architecture and light installations to the mine, where we danced for two nights to our favourite music, with some pretty amazing performers. For two days we descended into the post-apocalyptic crater of Haláp for a literally underground experience - the abandoned mine of Zalahaláp was our home away from home, the best kept secret of Lake Balaton.
Kráter Festival is a celebration of builders, we celebrated the finished works together with concerts, workshops, guided tours - and of course we watched the beautiful panorama of Lake Balaton and the unforgettable sunsets throughout the 2-day-trip
The two-day event featured performers such as Analog Balaton, 6363 & Lil Frakk, Kale Lulugyi, Sisi and the rappers and DJs of the Wavy Budapest collective. Of course, we didn't forget about electronic music lovers either, with Adis Is OK, CRB, Cry Later, dtnb., Falcao, Lau, Ogulcan Eki, Raasa, Reload, Telemala, Tolo, Vatsanah and Vedat Akdag keeping the party going until dawn.
The main stage of the festival was the "flaming pyramids" designed by Hello Wood, but we also had an additional smaller stage right next to the central bar. As well as dancing, festival-goers could try out Offcourse's "gadget parade", dive into the world of DJing on their own; take part in a workshop on bio-composite clay tiles led by Péter Rikk and Mihály Minkó; and on the last night, experience what it's like to project a mushroom under a microscope onto 100 square metres in an interactive visual workshop by Makró VJ. To kick off the event, we also inaugurated an 18-metre ladder made during the Builder Summit, setting it aflame and preserving the meeting point for local firefighters.
